RED DRAGON-X is the cheapest RED sensor offered out of the DSMC2 brain series. This model is more affordable compared to the models we’ll discuss later - offered new at $14,950. This sensor uses a 13.8-megapixel CMOS sensor and can shoot 96 fps at 5K full format. This sensor, sized at 25.6mm x 13.5mm, is a great beginner model if you’re just getting into RED camera gear.

RED GEMINI Camera Sensor

The RED GEMINI is one of RED’s greatest advancements. The GEMINI sensor is one-of-a-kind and is RED’s highest sensitivity sensor ever. The RED HELIUM sensor is one step up from GEMINI. The HELIUM sensor is designed to create the most HD picture possible - with resolution strength up to 17x higher than HD. This camera has 8K capabilities and a 35.4-megapixel CMOS sensor sized at 29.90mm x 15.77mm. You can capture 60 fps at 8K full format and create some of the most cinematic pictures possible. This sensor will cost you a hefty price though with new models starting at $24,500.

RED MONSTRO Camera Sensor

The RED MONSTRO sensor is one of the newest and by far the most advanced models from RED. It uses the ultra-advanced DSMC2 Brain processor, the best in the business, and is by far the most expensive RED model. The MONSTRO 8K VV sensor delivers a vivid, crystal clear picture for the ultimate cinematic picture quality. At full format 8K, this camera can shoot 60 fps and at 8K 2.4:1, it will shoot 75 fps. It’s RED’s biggest sensor to date at 40.96mm x 21.60mm.

This 35.4-megapixel CMOS sensor is designed to help your ideal resolution with no limitations whatsoever. This is the most expensive model that RED currently has. A new model will cost you around $54,500.
